TREASURY BUDGET STATEMENT vs? UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE?
13 MAR 2016NO HAY MANAGEMENT COMENTARIOSHERRAMIENTA
zz vs tesoreria result im Desta throughout my career have I found many times with professional or outside the area of finance managers who have difficulty distinguishing the results of a company of its liquidity. The consequences of this error can be catastrophic for the company.

When I talk about liquidity situation I mean exactly to the availability of money in the company to make payments. A cash budget allows us to have it controlled.

When we talk about results we refer specifically to the gain or loss that is generated and often seen in the income statement, the statement of profit and loss, or what some call operating account.

What then is the difference between the results and the money that a company?

Liquidity or cash there at all times only reflects the amount of money available for payments but does not necessarily mean profits. Indeed a company can temporarily generate liquidity consistently and take losses. Example: A chain of stores constantly generates cash liquidity because it sells but pays credit, perhaps even 90 days of invoice date. But it is selling below breakeven so not cover expenses, ie leaks.

The income statement shows the true consequence of business: positive (profit) or negative (loss). A business whose turnover is greater than the sum of the various costs and expenses generated profit. If the turnover is less, it generates losses. A company that just bought a very expensive property or machinery may have liquidity shortage and having to borrow, while still generating abundant earnings results.

So what is more important? Having liquidity or have positive results?

Both variables, the most important are the results. A company can not have liquidity and debt in order to function, but if it generates positive results means that covers all your expenses, including financial or treasury vs intereses.zz result IM1

What is the danger of working in this way? Leverage on banks as a way to work weakens the status of any company in times of crisis. In the 2008 crisis we have seen how the banks closed the tap financing to businesses and individuals pushing many organizations to close.

That said, I must clarify that both data must be controlled throughout the lifecycle of a company. And these accompanied by a good balanced scorecard data allow sleep at night a manager!

Why and how to keep controlled the treasury?

Keep under control the situation of our treasury allows us to know what times of the year we could have a deficit or surplus.

Having cash shortage means there are expenses that can not afford or can not make investments. Depending on the situation of the company, perhaps we can apply for funding.
Having cash surplus implies that we have an amount of money immobilized maybe we could be investing to make it productive.
In any case, these findings and actions to be taken in each case be analyzed if we have a very useful tool from my point of view: the cash budget.

What is the cash budget?

xlsxEl stick man watering a cash budget is a tool that lets us know that the treasury will have a future with some certainty.

I call tool but can be a simple Excel properly fed and updated.

This tool works with the following data:

* Balance current banking - Part of this data as it is today it reflects the amount of money the company has. Before the bank was the bank balance was used and it added cash.
receive pending charges - These will become part of the bank balance to its expiration date.
Expected sales - a figure must be considered reasonable sales, to be conservative and be consistent with historical data. At this point you can work with different scenarios.
pending payments - These should be subtracted from the bank balance to their corresponding due dates. They can be delivered heels, loan installments, invoices, etc.
Fixed expenses - Any expense that is repeated frequently as payroll, social insurance, supplies, bank charges, etc.
Planned investments - Any investment is anticipated to have to incorporate it into the treasury plan to see if we will have enough liquidity.
What period should cover the cash plan?

The period of the plan and its complexity depend on:

The horizon of activities that can handle the company
The company size and complexity of their activities or environment.
SMEs often plan for a period of 1 year and not later because they need to work with simple and flexible information. Large and companies whose activities are more complex and have more significant risks have the (professional and time) resources needed to plan longer-term: usually 5 years and sometimes even 10 years.

In any case the maximum period must not exceed 10 years. Try to plan for a longer period is a waste of time since in 10 years the world completely changes.

What openness and detail should have the budget?

I recommend working with 3 budgets, linked:

A budget or daily detail for the current month
A monthly plan 1 year view
An annual budget for the rest of the year, we said that may be a total of 5 or 10.

IDEAS - Some sell website templates to make cash budget plan or at unbelievable prices. However, unless your company is very small, you should work with Excel and have adapted to your own needs plan.

PRESUPUESTO DE TESORERIA vs ESTADO DE RESULTADOS?

Sweet bolla Galician or larpeira is one of the flavors that move me to childhood when, every Sunday in summer, I was approaching the village bakery where he spent holidays to pick up this sweet precious that was part of the now classic snacks weekend at my house.

Bolla dulce gallega o "larpeira". Receta gallega

Bolla dulce gallega o "larpeira". Receta gallega

Cómo hacer bolla dulce gallega o larpeira

What nobody told you about the true scouts and not the usual pickers

What nobody told you about the true scouts and not the usual pickers

discretion and confidentiality are intrinsic to the exercise of 'headhunter' and its great asset to give the skilled managers required by companies. They know the market thoroughly and profiles groping, why should you know who is who when you contact them.

In these processes, a single candidate is eligible for the same position in several companies
Find out what position and what company. That's your goal if you receive a call from a headhunter -headhunter-. The safest thing is that if this is the first time you get caught by surprise and you assails one mixture of vanity and uncertainty. That someone outside your work assess your professional skills it makes you feel special, and even more if one does know what he's talking. So, should you do not be carried away by your ego and that overcome the effects of the first injection of self-esteem, you act like what they really are: a good professional. Make sure it is a headhunter and whether self-employed or a headhunter company. If it comes to firms like Russell Reynolds, Spencer Stuart, Egon Zehnder, Odgers Berndtson, Korn Ferry, Boyden or Seeliger and Conde you may like to know that they all move in the search for senior executives with an average annual salary of 200,000 euros . There are other brands that although these figures promptly handle their searches, they usually move in middle management in semi- -mandos with lower salaries; Hudson is the case, Ackermann, Robert Catenon or Walters, among others. The signatures are very scrupulous with this position, and not by caprice does not involve the same effort, resources and market knowledge locate a CFO to a CEO or an independent director.

These are some of the reasons why scouts occupy a privileged place among labor brokers. These executives, most with business experience and knowledge of the sector in which they operate-banking, telecommunications, distribution, pharma, et cetera practice direct search, ie, contact only those that meet the requirements demanded by its customers-companies -. Arancha Ruiz, member of Headhunter & Talentis and author of seeking headhunter (Ed. Connects) explains that "while a search firm handles hundred profiles for a process, the headhunter sometimes has a single candidate for various processes search".

I'm the one!
You contact a headhunter is not synonymous with getting a good job. Andrés Fontenla, CEO of Fontevalue Consulting, says that "may be to propose a candidate or as an expert in their field and then become candidate" .It is also possible that you're just fumbling to include you in their database. Note that in the first case, and assuming that the position interests you, it is normal that elapses at least two months: overcome interviews with the headhunter, start conversations with the client.

Ramon Gomez de Olea, managing partner of Russell Reynolds, warns that "the behavior of a headhunter are difficult to predict, because it usually has more information than they can provide for confidentiality reasons. Candidates must ensure that your resume is correct in sufficient depth and responds to reality. " Ruiz explains that when you become the target, "the headhunter you scan contrasts your information, has aroused their alarms springs and levers that activate their seduction".

The minimum time between the first contact and access to the post is two months
The coach has an advantage, but you also have to play your cards. Krista Walochik, member of Talengo and vice president of the Global Board of the AESC (Association of Executive Search Consultants), I recommend the candidate perform "questions aimed at understanding the role, functions and responsibilities, and the outcomes you want. I advise you interested in the objectives to a year to get an idea of the magnitude and proposed approach since it ". Montserrat Luquero, CEO of Hudson Spain, points out: "It is better not to ask anything to ask platitudes, and the most important thing is to listen and always answer bluntly.".

Confidentiality prevents the headhunter disclose the name of the company. However, as Ruiz says, "exceptionally mentioned or tracks that leave no room for doubt to entice the candidate are given." Most of the time the options are not many and it is necessary to conquer the interest of the candidate. Jose Ignacio del Barrio, partner Ackermann, recalls that "95% of the positions that we have to cover fits with people who are active and satisfied with the position they play, so you need to use our industry knowledge to explain the change is an improvement in their career. the executive might do really probing questions for details, very specific data that can not reveal in the early stages of the process or until discussions with the client do not start ".

Something that generates shame in the candidate is asked by economic conditions, but scouts do not believe it is negative. Although the name of the firm of headhunters can give you a rough track that is not more you try to rush conditions even if the change involves a great risk for you, request a shield for a period of time.

How much earns a 'headhunter'
"The headhunter who always works for a customer pays their fees. It also wants to maintain a good relationship with valuable candidates, potential and / or may be future customers, but should be very objective in their assessment." This explains Luis Truchado, partner at Odgers Berndtson, the essence of these experts who often work with what is commonly known as retained search, ie, charge a percentage advance which, if not cover the position is held by the headhunters in concept fee. Work success, ie, receive their fees if the customer stays with the candidate submitted, it is not usual and many believe that the process loses credibility because "tend to go full speed to try to put as soon as possible a candidate and receivables ". The rates are set between 20 and 30% of gross annual salary of the manager who finally hired in the case of middle management is reduced to 15% -.

Is there the best candidate in the world?
n "There is no better candidate if a candidate not well positioned," says Luis Truchado, Odgers Berndtson partner. For this reason you should not get excited too much if soon you receive more than one call a 'headhunter' interested in your profile. Arancha Ruiz, member of Headhunter & Talentis, explains that "may be the best candidate in the world but without a flawless entry may miss the opportunity to explain how good you are. You can be ruled out in seconds without knowing what has caused". However, there are some features that can make you the ideal candidate. Jose Ignacio del Barrio, Ackermann partner, notes that "the most beloved are those who have succeeded in companies that have gone by." How long is the glory? Del Barrio ensures that depends less on age - "a matter that displeases me, because a 55-year-old is at his best as an executive" - as the time it has managed to maintain a positive evolution of the company has led. Krista Walochik, member of Talengo, says it is very difficult to establish what it means to be the best candidate. "A common mistake is to confuse the personal value to the company in which one is may have the experience that demand, for example in digital marketing, but it is necessary that profile deal to update their knowledge to market needs as they evolve Thus, many people with long experience who lack digital literacy, and others are well aware of the tools but no. they have a strategic vision because they have not been directors ".

white building near the mouth. "They are the nuns," he said
who was with me, he was my friend and editor in Puerto Rico
Miguel Tapia. "And that is that you are entering a Spanish ship." No
We talk more then, because we were busy with other
stuff; but the flag and nuns piqued my curiosity. So
I tried to learn well after the affair, which proved to be a
beautiful story of loyalty and nostalgia. Something that really started
For more than a century, the July 16, 1898.
That was the year of the disaster. Thirteen days before the squad
Admiral Cervera, who had left to fight without hope in the
most stupid and heroic battle of our history, had been
annihilated in Santiago de Cuba by the overwhelming naval power
North American. The US warships blocked the island
Puerto Rico, preventing the arrival of reinforcements and supplies to
encircled troops. In these circumstances, Antonio Lopez, a
modern and fast merchant ship that had left Cadiz
arms and supplies for the garrison, received a telegram with the
text: "Is That You Make to Get Accurate loading A Puerto
Rico although Lose Boat. " Veteran, disciplined,
professional with gear in place, captain Antonio
Lopez, who was called Don Ginés Carreras, tried to run the blockade
U.S. He did not succeed. On June 28, when browsing
without lights and stuck to the coast trying to enter San Juan, it was
located the USS Yosemite, it shelled. Captain Carreras
He escaped half, stranding the ship in Ensenada Honda, close
Socorro beach, where in the next few days he tried to
take land as it could save the shipment. but two
weeks later, the USS New Orleans came to give the
knockout, destroying it with cannon fire.
That's when I tell them the story was woven. Under the
bombing, a crew of Antonio Lopez, who had tied the
Flag of waist before dropping into the water to try
He won land by swimming, he got seriously injured to shore. He never could
he ascertained his name, because he died in the arms of a Puerto Rican
of those who came to help the survivors. "Let not the grip"
He pleaded the sailor as he died, pointing to the flag. And the
Puerto kept his word, perhaps because it was called
Rocaforte and was Galician parents. superstitious man or
religious, and in any case good man, not breaking the
demand for a dying man, he kept at home for years. And
Finally, one day, he thought of the nuns.
They were Spanish, of the Servants of Mary, installed on the island
since 1897. They attended a hospital near the mouth of the harbor, and
They remained there after the departure of Spain and the brazen
ownership of the island by the United States. After the war, the
sisters, with natural nostalgia, adopted the custom of
salute from the balcony of the hospital, waving handkerchiefs, each
Once a boat of his distant homeland entering or leaving the port.
That gave Rocaforte the idea of entrusting the flag. She introduced in
the hospital, told the story to the Mother Superior, and handed the
He teaches. And since then, when entering or leaving San Juan one
Spanish boat, the nuns were waving in the gallery, instead of
handkerchiefs, the old flag of the lost ship.
They still do, a century later. Of the twenty-seven nuns
Today the hospital serving the Servants of Mary, and only five
They are our compatriots. But each time a Spanish ship
passes in front of the hospital, slowly browsing the channel buoys,
captain meets the old ritual to give three blasts on the siren and do
wave the flag in response to the greeting of the nuns, who since
Waving his gallery. Had I known that anonymous sailor
Antonio Lopez of one hundred and twelve years ago was thrown into the sea,
trying to win the beach under American fire with
teaches his boat tied at the waist, he would be satisfied. Me
wonder if those who took to the streets after the final match
World Cup, filling all in red and yellow, would
aware that it was the same memory and the same
flag. And that, with joy in the streets and balconies,
also they surrendered tribute to such naive and poor people,
manipulated, deceived, run by the usual suspects - "although
Lose El Barco "they ordered the flags designing but never
defendiéndolas- will die, honestly fulfilled with what I thought
It was his duty and shame bullfighter. And this includes nuns
 Saint John.

No
texto: «Es Que Usted Haga Llegar Preciso El Cargamento Un Puerto
Rico Aunque Sí Pierda El Barco». Veterano, disciplinado,
Nunca pudo
Me
 San Juan.
